2008 delegates to the FIAP Asian Philatelic Exhibition were placed at Grand Hyatt Hotel, it was another great experience for all the delegates. All delegates were please with the hospitality as provided by Taipei 2008.

After the successful organisation of Taipei 2005, Taiwan decided to organise another international exhibition in 2008, Not many countries are financially sound to organise an international exhibition in a short period of 3 years, Taiwan had done it.  The postage label vending machines dominated the exhibition hall, the postage label seemed to attract most of the modern collectors, they were crazy about these labels. I could see crowds were occupying these machines for the whole day。 I could not get a chance to try out a label for myself.

2005台北邮展成功举办后，台湾再次的举办2008台北亚洲邮展。许多国家多年来要举办一个邮展都困难重重，马来西亚阔别了92年亚展，自今还无能力举办一个亚展，然而台湾却是在3年里举办了2次邮展。在这一次的邮展厅内依然看到邮迷追逐邮资票，不停的坐在邮资机前打机。我想打几枚票收藏，然而排队长而给放弃了。

台北亚洲邮展委会在这一年度的邮展为贵宾安排了乘搭台湾HSR（高铁），让大家感受一回台湾尖端交通工具的启用。是的，大家都期待亲身体验这一次的HSR之旅。这一天的我们将游览台湾鹿港小镇 。。。主办当局的精心安排，于台北车站我们登上了HSR直奔台中县一个HSR中站，再转旅巴前往鹿港。 HSR的流线型外观犹如飞机一样 。。车舱也与飞机舱一样，HSR车速可达300km/hr，舱内墙上有个车速的仪表显示当前的行驶速度。不需一个钟就抵达了台中县的车站，行驶中的HSR稳健快速。旅程舒服愉快。

The organiser of the Taipei Asian Philatelic Exhibition arranged the delegates to experience the newly launched Taiwan High Speed Rail System on an excursion to Lugang @ Taichung district. It took approximate an hour to travel from Taipei Station to a transit station @ taichung where we were transferred to Lugang by limousine buses. It was a pleasant trip on HSR, the speed of the train was at 300 km/hr. It was as comfort as on a commercial plane. There was a digital speedometer on the wall, where passengers could read the prevailing speed of the running train.

2008年台北邮展又让我继2005年后再次踏入台湾，虽然上一次来过中正纪念馆走走，这一次由于孩子陪同而来，所以旧地重游。这一个台北地标似乎是大家必到的一个景点吧。

I visited Taipei Asian Philatelic Exhibition in 2005, yet again I was invited to the 2008 exhibition. Although I had visited  Chiang Kai Shek memorial hall during my previous trip in 2005, however, I made a repeated visit with my children who were accompanying on the 2008 trip. CKS memorial hall is a landmark of Taipei NOT to be missed.

This was the busiest exhibition I had for I was represented at Taipei 2008 as a National Commissioner and a Jury Member . I could NOT attend the Commissioner meetings and the Jury meetings which might be clashed in schedule, I had to forgo some of the commissioners' meetings by sending representative at the meetings for I could NOT leave the Jury team while I was busy judging the exhibits. A special honorary award presentation for the Jury and commissioner was held during an official sight seeing tour while we were having the lunch break at a Hotel.

这一届邮展是我最感觉压力的一个邮展，我有两个重要的角色要办 - 国家征集员和评审员。 征集员会议和评审员会议偶尔会在同一个时间里举行，我兼顾不了两个角色唯有委派代表出席征集员会议，因为在评审工作进行中，我是无法抽身的。 主办当局也为劳苦功高的征集员/评审颁发了荣誉奖状和奖牌作纪念。

On Arrival at Taipei, being a Malaysia National Commissioner , I was rushed to Chung Hwa Post HeadQuarter to submit  the Malaysian Philatelic Exhibits before proceeding to check-in @ the official Hotel , Hyatt International. I was accompanied by my son and daughter on this trip to Taipei. At the Post counter, the staff were busy checking and verifying the exhibits which would be displayed at the World Trade Center Exhibition venue.

在抵达台北机场，中华邮政职员随即护送我们 （我和一对儿女）到中华邮政总部提交我携带来参加此次亚洲邮展的马来西亚邮集。 邮政工作人员小心翼翼的检收了邮集，就带我们到下榻的官方酒店 - 台北君悦 （Hyatt ) - 看看时间，已是晚上10.00了。
