2009 April 四月：
China hosted her 2nd World Philatelic Exhibition at Luoyang in 2009 after her first World event in 1999. Few cities in China bid for the organisation of this event, and Luoyang won the bid with the great advantage of her new Museum Complex used for the World Exhibition which was completed in April and due for opening in the same year. I was glad to be invited to be a Jury Team member and eager to witness another spectacular show put up by the Chinese Government.
There was no direct flight from Malaysia to Luoyang, I had the choice to fly to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and transfer on a domestic flight to Luoyang. I took a Beijing Flight, and a smooth transfer to Luoyang with a mere 2 hour of waiting time. Surprise to note, a majority of the flight passengers on board to Luoyang were either invited guests or visitors to the World Philatelic Exhibition.
Luoyang airport is a small size airport yet to be expanded, I could see major upgrading construction works were undergoing on the airport. As a matter of time, the airport will be doubled in size inviting the landing of larger aircrafts. For a long long time, I had NOT had the experience of walking out of an aircraft on stairs. It was sunny and breezy air in Luoyang . Well, I will have the next 10 days in Luoyang to explore the excitement of the Philatelic Show and the visiting tours coming with it.
中国成功承办2009世界邮展，这是第二回中国主办世界邮展，前一次已经是10年前的“中国99”了。中国主办世界级盛会，在我的印象中总是很棒的，也叫我向往。“洛阳2009”捎来邀请函担当评审。满心的接受邀请并期待“洛阳2009”的到来。这一次世展其实有几个中国城市申办，洛阳新落成的博物馆正是可以充当此次的邮展场地，而赢了主办权。
马来西亚没有直航的班机到洛阳。我有几个选择由北京，上海，深圳或者广东转机。我选择了北京机场。只稍等上2个小时，我就可顺利的接上飞去洛阳的航班。有北京登机后，看到机上几个熟悉的面孔，最后更发现，机上的乘客大部分是为着“洛阳2009”而来的。
洛阳机场属小型机场，当日来到机场可以看到大型的改建工程正在施工中。假与时日，洛阳机场肯定会是个大机场。已经很久没有以梯的方式步出飞机的，洛阳的上空日烈当头，空气中有些凉意，感觉非常舒服。好了，下来的10天，我就要好好的享受世界邮展，也要好好看看洛阳城了。
